Supporting staff to create a happy home

Over the past 12 years, we have been listening to our subscribers wants and needs and from this feedback, we have created a comprehensive activity co-ordinators training package. Their priority has been making sure the residents they cared for were happy. However, they sometimes felt they lacked the support, the inspiration and the confidence to give of their best.

Our training had been developed by Suzanne Mumford, a Dementia Nurse Specialist and CQC Specialist Nurse Advisor, to empower activity co-ordinators to make a real difference in their care home setting.

What Will You Learn?

The activity co-ordinators training course is broadly divided into two equal and overlapping parts. You can find a brief Training Day Course Outline Here

50% of the course provides practical training in skills such as developing high quality activities and working effectively with people living with dementia. The other 50% looks at how resources, specifically the Daily Sparkle, can be used to inspire, save time and maximise benefits when providing activities.

On completing the course, activity co-ordinators will be equipped with the skills they need to make a positive difference in their place of work.

CPD & Certification

In addition to becoming better activity co-ordinators, all graduates from our training package are presented with a Training Certificate. This can be included with attendees’ Continuous Professional Development (CPD) log entries.

Booking Your Training Place
