Supporting staff to create a happy home
Over the past 12 years, we have been listening to our subscribers wants and needs and from this feedback, we have created a comprehensive activity coordinators training package. An Activity Coordinator’s main priority is to ensure that the residents they care for are happy. However, they sometimes they lack the support, inspiration and confidence to achieve this to the best of their ability. The training has been written by a team with expertise in dementia, activity provision and compliance auditing; and is delivered by experienced trainers who also work in this field. The training empowers activity coordinators to make a real difference in care home settings.
What Will You Learn?
The activity coordinators training course is broadly divided into two equal and overlapping parts. You can find a briefTraining Day Course Outline Here
50% of the course provides practical training in skills such as developing high quality activities and working effectively with people living with dementia. The other 50% looks at how resources, specifically the Daily Sparkle, can be used to inspire, save time and maximise benefits when providing activities.
On completing the course, activity coordinators will be equipped with the skills they need to make a positive difference in their place of work.
